Little Devils Academy U7 – U9
Term Two Commencing May 2nd
Launceston City FC is proud to offer a Little Devils Academy for those young players that wish to further develop their skills and just can not get enough football outside of their junior team training.
Training occurs on Mondays & Tuesdays 4.30pm – 5.30pm.
Training location will be Buckby Motors Park, entry via the Australian Italian Club, Westbury Rd, Prosepct Vale.
Prices for the program are $75 per term with players having the choice of one or two nights training.
Players will also be required to purchase the Academy training kit which consists of;
- black adidas training shirt
- black adidas shorts
- black adidas socks

In 2022, age groups for our Little Devils Academy are:
U7: 2015 born players
U8: 2014 born players
U9: 2013 born players
The program revolves around the discovery phase is one of the 4 building blocks within the FFA’s football curriculum.
This focuses on players from ages 5 to 8. The discovery phase places places a high emphasis on helping young players enjoy the game of football, while being able to discover their own skills.
Coaches within the discovery phase do not concentrate on ‘coaching’, but instead concentrate on organising fun football exercises. This allows players to discover their limitations through trial & error. Emphasis is also placed on natural development – learning football by playing football
Within the program there is a strong focus on incorporating the Sport Australia ‘Physical Literacy’ which take a holistic approach to player development.
