𝗙𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗟𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻 𝗝𝘂𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘂𝘀 Today, we shine the spotlight on one of the quietest, most humble, and hardest‑working people a football club could hope to have. A man who prefers to work behind the scenes, he works tirelessly around the grounds all year. A calm problem solver, he approaches every game day with patience, care, and a steady presence. He is undeniably one of the essential heartbeats of Launceston City FC. From match management and working bees to booking change rooms, locking up after long days, checking that volunteers leave safely, and stepping in wherever help is needed-no task is ever too big or too small. If something needs doing, he is there. A multiple‑time LCFC Club Man of the Year, for good reason, his contribution goes far beyond any title. He never seeks recognition, but if we could clone him, we would. Thank you, Geoff Powell, for everything you do for our club, and for the valued place you and your family hold within our community. 🖤 🤍
𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿: 𝘾𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝘾𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙇𝙖𝙪𝙣𝙘𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙣 We’re excited to partner with @citycave_launceston , a premium wellness and recovery centre dedicated to helping people move, feel and perform better. City Cave specialises in infrared sauna therapy, which uses gentle radiant heat to work deep into muscles and joints. For athletes, this means reduced muscle soreness, improved circulation, faster recovery, and a chance to properly unwind after the demands of training and match day. Recovery plays a huge role in performance, which is why our WSL and NPL Player of the Match will now receive a City Cave sauna voucher — a well-earned opportunity to reset, recharge and get ready for the week ahead. A big thank you to Kali, Dallas and the team at City Cave Launceston for supporting our players and backing our city and community.
